We’re very excited to be welcoming back Maddie “Splenda” Hockley to the year-round staff team after her time off in 2018 for maternity leave - and we’re pretty excited to welcome Marlowe Hockley as a new part of the Beacon family! This week, we’re sending a quick note from Maddie, which you can read below.

I’m back!

I wanted to write this post to let everyone know how thrilled I am to be back at Beacon! If you don’t know me – that’s OK, I haven’t been around very long. I started working at Beacon a year ago in the office and then had a baby in April and missed all the summer activity on maternity leave.

I was so sad to not be around in the summer but am looking forward to connecting with everyone again. I will probably be the one calling you on the phone and answering your emails! I am excited to continue to learn all the ways of Beacon and will try my best to provide you with quick answers and friendly service.  I love how God has been working at Beacon for all these years and I am praying for new fresh encounters with Him from staff, campers and rental groups.

I’m humbled and excited to be working alongside such an amazing team! Here is a picture of my new little family! Jackson is 2.5 and Marlowe is now 7 months. Looking forward to meeting more of you and connecting.

Maddie is going to be an immediate blessing to Alyssa and Luke, as they head off for a week of vacation and rest starting on Monday, November 12.
