Beacon for Grown-Ups: Men's & Women's Retreats!
Camp is often known as a haven for the wild and wacky fun that comes with youth. Intense wide games, creative crafts, interactive Bible lessons, silly evenings in the cabin - these are all youthful images. Beacon’s mission statement itself acknowledges a particular focus on youth when it comes to our programs.
However, it doesn’t stop there. Beacon Bible Camp exists to provide an adventurous Christian camping experience where anyone can come to hear the gospel of the Lord Jesus and to grow in their Christian life. Anyone means people of all ages and stages! Outside of the summer, we run weekends where moms and their daughters or fathers and their sons can spend meaningful time together. We run a session specifically for seniors with tours of Muskoka and heartwarming fellowship at camp. We have a new winter family camp to give families the full Beacon winter experience.
But we don’t want you to forget about these two important options: Men’s Retreat and Women’s Retreat!
The Beacon Men’s Retreat is going on its third year of under the directorship of long-time camp volunteer Doug Hayhoe. The Women’s Retreat has been brought back in a fresh new form this year by new director Joan Faul, who has planned women’s retreats for years and has an amazing line-up of speakers and worship leaders to bless those who attend. We’re very excited to be offering opportunities for adult men and women to take some time away from the usual rush and be refreshed by time with God in the context of community and the beautiful winter display of God’s creation at Beacon.
If you’re over 18, these retreats are open to you! The Men’s Retreat runs on January 18-20, 2019 and the Women’s Retreat will take place on February 22-24, 2019. More information on what to expect and how to register can be found on the Beacon website, or you can call the Beacon office to speak to someone about it.
Don’t miss a chance to be refreshed over the long winter. Sign up today, and tell a friend about the opportunity to get away to Beacon!
