Part of Beacon's mission is to support the growth of the local church, and that means that we want you here for your next group rental! Over the years, Beacon has served thousands of group participants from youth groups, schools and church retreats in a beautiful wilderness setting. Our pricing is competitive with most other retreat centres and camps in our area, and we work incredibly hard to make sure that your group has the best possible experience while you're with us. Scroll down for more details about our general rental information, or click on one of the types of rentals we serve to learn more about how we can help you build your group at Beacon.
During the spring (May to June) and autumn (September to November), Beacon can accommodate up to 150 guests (including leaders) for retreats or events. Most cabins are insulated against the cold, and we provide heating when the temperature drops below comfortable levels.
In the winter (January to early March), we can host up to 60 guests (including leaders). Our winterized lodges all have washrooms located in the building, and are a short walk to our main meeting spaces and dining hall.
When you book with us, we'll provide a breakdown of all available resources and make sure that they're waiting for you when you arrive so that your time with us gets off to a great start!
Beacon has two main meeting spaces, called the Lighthouse and the Town Hall, which can host your group meetings and worship sessions. Other smaller spaces around camp can hold breakout sessions if required. Both main meeting spaces can be set up for amplified sound and presentations.
Meals and Food Service
Beacon strives to provide a balanced diet through our food service for our guests. Meals are served three times a day (8:30am, 12:30pm and 5:30pm), and we offer a snack in the late evening for those staying overnight. As a part of your rental agreement, Beacon provides a head cook to manage the kitchen and meal preparation. Each group has the opportunity to provide other kitchen staff to keep costs at a minimum, or we can provide other cooks, for a small fee.
Meals are served family style to each table of 10 guests. Serving meals family style allows us to be more exact in our portions so that we don't waste food. Our Dining Hall is never locked. Guests are welcome to enter during their stay, where they will find coffee, tea and a bowl of fresh fruit.
Beacon is not a nut-free facility but is equipped to accommodate those with nut allergies if specified in advance. If your group has participants who are allergic to a certain product, please let us know so that we can ensure a safe experience for all while at our camp. While we are happy to offer alternate meal plans for those with dietary restrictions and food allergies, Beacon does not cater to individual food preferences.
If you have any specific questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us using the form below, and we'll have our hospitality staff get in touch with you as soon as possible.

We'll help create a custom quote that reflects your needs and program plans. Some program areas require additional costs, which can be discussed as needed during the rental preparation process (for example: if you require lifeguards for your programming, we can help source those staff for you for a small cost per lifeguard).
Booking with Beacon
To start the process of a group rental with Beacon, check your preferred dates on the calendar below, and then fill out the Rental Inquiry form. Our staff will get back to you within 5 business days (usually much faster). If there is a more immediate concern, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that bookings in progress may not appear on this calendar, and that early requests are most often and easily accommodated by Beacon staff. You are welcome to submit a request for a rental, even if the dates below are already marked as "Booked/Reserved", as we can sometimes host more than one group at one time. Unfortunately, Beacon Programming events are exclusively booked, but you are welcome to join us for those - visit our Rates and Dates page for more information.
We love working with educational partners to create Christ-centered experiences that help meet curriculum guidelines. Our OCT-certified Program Director will work with you to create a schedule from 1 to 5 days in length that will provide grounded learning for students while exposing them to a pristine outdoor learning environment designed to help them grow emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Partner schools (including homeschool groups) are eligible for staff and chaperone discounts, helping to keep costs affordable for everyone. If you can dream it, we want to plan it for you. Reach out to us using the form above and we'll help plan a great experience for your students!
We love our church groups! From youth group weekends to marriage retreats or Alpha course meetings, we can help make a memorable experience for your church. We specialize in weekend rentals full of fun, great food and happy memories.
Many of our church group rentals return year after year, but we're always looking to welcome new groups to our facilities. If you'd like to book a tour of Beacon to get a feel for what we're all about, use the form above to let us know, and we'll find a time to show you one of our favourite places in the world (who knows, we may even stop by the Tuck Shop!).
Do you have a Christ-centered program or project that you want to chat about? We want to hear from you! We welcome ideas that help increase your group's capacity to serve God. We've heard from university Christian fellowships, moms in need of a weekend away and even church small groups that want to deepen their relationship with each other.
As a Christian charitable organization, Beacon's rental programs are restricted to groups that promote the same values. Generally speaking, we ask that some form of teaching happens during the rental to ensure that our charitable objectives are met. If you have questions about this, use the form above to contact us and we'll help you figure out the best path forward.
