It's been just over a week since we launched our Beacon gift catalogue, and we've been overwhelmed by the amazing response! Thank you to everyone who had chosen to help so far. We've raised over $900 so far, and several people have said they just need to figure out the gift they want to buy.

The most popular item in the catalogue? Canoe paddles - with four already purchased. I'm also excited to see that we're a quarter of the way to our $2000 goal of a new archery pit next summer!

The Gift Catalogue is a new idea for Beacon, and the feedback has been great. Folks from the Beacon family have been telling us that  it's nice to give to something specific at camp, and that they know it's going to a good cause.  It doesn't hurt that is the right time of year, too.
