Thinking about training to be a cabin leader? Here are a few things to consider:
We’re looking for youth aged 16 and older who want to join us in our mission of “Pointing Eyes to Creation and Calling Hearts to God.”
This role is a divine calling to serve campers with Christ-like love (1 Cor. 13:4–7).
By practicing patience, emotional maturity, and “overflowing love” (1 Thess. 3:12), you’ll grow as a leader while potentially making an eternal impact on the lives of your campers.
If you're willing to challenge yourself and make the commitment to learning how God wants to use you to impact your world, we want to see you at FLIGHT!
FLIGHT (Future Leaders In God's Harvest Training) is an 11-day leadership development program designed to help you grow in your faith, character, and confidence as a leader. The program is divided into two parts:
first Session
FLIGHT Training: May 1-3, 2026 | $480
The FLIGHT training weekend serves as your introduction to what leadership is all about. We talk about what it means to be a cabin leader, taking care of yourself spiritually, how your leadership style affects others, and of course, we mix in a ton of fun. Participants get the chance to bond with their FLIGHT "Crew" as they make new friends and grow together.
Second Session
Junior Girls: July 4-11, 2026
Junior Boys: July 11-18, 2026
The FLIGHT summer session is all about the practical aspects of Christian leadership. You will be immersed in the camp session as you observe and learn from other staff members, participate in some camp programming and gain hands-on experience in a number of different positions at camp.
Successful completion of the FLIGHT program year will result in an invitation to become a Junior Cabin Leader at Beacon the following year.

The cost of the program includes both training sessions, transportation to and from camp (if needed) and all program materials. Sponsorship is available for those who require support.

Submit your application as soon as possible—spaces are limited, and applying does not guarantee a spot in the program.
Successful applicants will be notified of acceptance by mid-March
