Well… we’re happy about this one!

We’ve been blown away by the great response to the Winter Getaway, which is our new family-style winter weekend. We’ve almost completely hit our capacity for the weekend! Part of the reason for our lower starting capacity is that we've never done a weekend like this before, and we didn't want to overbook ourselves. Of course, we want lots of people to join us at camp, so now that we've seen this great response, we've been hard at work to figure out a solution. 

Today, we're happy to announce that we think we've got something! We're going to open some of our summer cabins and heat them during the weekend to provide for extra space for those who want to register. The trick with these cabins is that there are no bathrooms inside the cabins (the bathrooms are a short walk away), and so they would be less comfortable than where we normal host groups in the winter. We’re calling these different cabins our “Muskoka Special” cabins!

(For those of you who already know Beacon, we're planning on offering the following cabins as "Muskoka Special" cabins: Pine, Poplar, Larch, Maple, Oholiab, Bezaleel and the Director's Cabin.)

To acknowledge this lack of what we lovingly refer to as "indoor plumbing", we're reducing the price for those who stay in those cabins by 20% - which is listed below: 

Adults (18+): $125 is now $100
Youth (9-17): $110 is now $90
Child (3-8): $75 is now $60
Infants (0-2): $0 is still $0 (but still is technically 20% less! :P)
