Staff Saturday: Spring Work Day!
Beacon Bible Camp
Beacon is blessed to have volunteers not only during the busy summer months, but in the times between, helping the onsite team keep camp maintained and beautiful. This Staff Saturday, we want to pay tribute to those who faithfully serve camp on scheduled work days - one of which was today, May 14th!
What?
Spring Work Day - a time to start getting camp ready for the summer by tackling indoor and outdoor cleaning, upgrading, and building projects.
Where?
At camp. starting first thing in the morning
Who?
A great group of all ages: Bill, Laura, Andrew, Rob, Liz, Daniel, David, Neil, Paul, Marissa, Maelle, Naomi, and the onsite team (Luke, Mark, Judy, Danielle and Alyssa).
Examples of tasks accomplished:
- screens on Dining Hall windows
- Director's Cabin cleaned
- Dining Hall gardens raked and cleaned out
- flower boxes for summer staff cabins painted
- Lighthouse bathroom floor removal
- meals stored in freezer
- decking put on new archery targets
When will it happen again?
Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 18th! This second spring workday is essential to getting final tasks done before the summer camps are in full swing. Consider joining us! All are welcome, and lunch is provided.
