As Beacon's Staff Training weekend approaches rapidly (May 25-27), I wanted to offer some convincing arguments as to why you - YES YOU - should consider attending! You won't be able to resist these seven reasons:
7. A Free Weekend!
It's a free weekend at Beacon! C'mon, we all know that nobody says no to free stuff!
6. Way Less Bugs!
You can experience camp before the arrival of the summer deer flies! (However, the spring black flies are another issue...but don't think about them right now. Choose to look on the bright side)
5. Try New Things Before Anyone Else!
The testing of some of our fun summer activities is up to you! Not only will it be great entertainment, but your feedback is actually vital to the development of good programming.
4. Learn From Amazing Teachers and Speakers
Don't want to get stuck with a camper group that acts like a pack of jungle animals? One of the most important parts of helping a camp session to run smoothly is being able to create an awesome community among campers, and we've got a great lineup of speakers who have strategies to help you accomplish this! Tame those lions!
3. Beacon Food
2. We Like Your Intelligence
Is that rain I hear? It must be because of all the upcoming brainstorming meetings with session directors that are scheduled! Let the downpour of ideas start as you collaborate with each other to make each session the best it can be.
1. You're Not Alone
"Where two or three are gathered in My name, there I am in the midst." Receive encouragement from God's word and prayer in the company of fellow Jesus-followers. God speaks to us when at camp in special ways - He's coming for you this weekend!
