Summer Staff Applications are Open!

For all those who have already been planning and plotting how to be at Beacon all summer long, we have a solution for you: Summer Staff applications are now open!

The Summer Staff team has a special place in the Beacon community. Without this team working behind the scenes to keep things clean, organized and safe, camp could absolutely not function. We are so grateful year after year for those who faithfully serve the Lord in this way so that campers can come and draw closer to God. 

We have a few small changes we want to let you know about this year's Summer Staff applications:

• Age: Previously, one had to be 18 years old when starting the role of Summer Staff. This year, we have changed the rule slightly to include anyone who will be 18 by the end of 2018, not just by the summer. This means that we can consider applicants who are in the same "cohort"
• Time Frame: In order to make sure that the Summer Staff team can properly train and team-build, we have set a specific start date, in contrast to the rolling start we've done in the past few years. In addition, if anyone serves on the Spring Crew in addition to Summer Staff, there will be a required break week prior to the start of the summer. These new requirement come as a result of helpful feedback from the past few summers. You will find the specific date on the Summer Staff application page on the Beacon website. 

If you are interested in applying, the application window will be open from November 1st to December 31st. Applications can be accessed via the Summer Staff page on our website. You will complete and submit an online application, and will be contacted regarding our interview process which takes place in January once the application window has closed.
